Day from hell getting home.
– not trying to disrespect those that died (or possibly shot down before they got to Athens under auto-pilot [Local Rumor from the beach]) in the recent tragedy in the sky over greece….Helios Suck, everything is delayed, they don’t care if your ticket said Stansted and they take you to Luton with no rep on arrival at 00:30 and with no way to get to your car about 80 miles away. Oh and they know nothing about the new EU law on compensation (Thankfully radio 4 do :D) ... I’ll do my best to teach them too
So I missed a day of my holiday, I have seen 1 closed airport and a coach I never intended to, I packed in about 10 minutes and spent about 2 hours on the phone trying to get back sometime before Monday when I should have been home on Saturday morning. Worst of all you were no bloody help at any stage.
- “sorry but” is not saying sorry
- “Fly to Luton but make your own way to Stansted” is not completing your contract to Fly me to Stansted (Sale of goods Act for one).
- “It’s your problem not ours you missed a day of your holiday”
- “Compensation is not due because your ticket was not for this alternate flight”
IMHO if they keep this up they are going to go the way PanAm did.
Service and support the 000’s of people who need to fly with you every day guys. Take a read of “EC Regulation No 261/2004 (as required by Article 14.2) ” (google for it if you don’t have a copy to hand). You still have a business to run.
